I spoke with our agency yesterday and it looks like my estimated time to travel is right on the money.
They said we would be in Vietnam by the end of February and that our G&R dates should be here any day now.
We have been frantically trying to purchase otc meds, travel supplies, and more stuff for the baby.
I don't think we realized how many things a baby needs. After all it has been almost 8 years since we've had one, and the list of stuff to buy is getting longer and longer.
We are tying up loose ends around here too. I have found someone to watch all 5 of our dogs. We are having our mail stopped until we return. I am getting bills ready to be mailed out while we're gone and making sure the house is clean and tidy for our return.
It's hard to imagine leaving here as a family of 5 and coming home as a family of 6. Things are definately going to be different!
I am hoping all the kids adjust well to having a baby in the house. Especially when she is keeping the whole house awake all night long from crying.
I am trying to prepare myself for the late night feedings and diaper changes. The whole process of packing and repacking diaper bags, toys laying all around the house again, teething, little runny noses and all the good stuff that comes along with a baby.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to complain. I am just trying to be realistic about things. Babies are sweet! They are adorable. They can melt even the hardest of hearts, but they are alot of work, LOL.
Better get moving now, there's still alot of shopping to do.
I am praying that my next post will read, "WE GOT THE TRAVEL CALL!"
Feeling very overwhelmed but extremely grateful,
Stephanie

Your house sounds like mine. There is a lot to do to get ready for a baby, plus travel. I'm really looking forward to reading your blog while you're in Vietnam getting your sweet baby girl!
